just got 572 and the dvd doesnt want to open cds any suggestions

The dvd will play videos but will not open any cd files or ask me what I would like to do with files on discs

Can you manually play those files by accessing the CD in Windows Explorer? Also, can you detect the CD in Windows Explorer? Lastly, in the Control Panel what are your options for CD's, do you have autoplay enabled and such other options?

I have enabled auto play and whilst there is some improvement I am still not getting any access from windows explorer to show files but thanks for the tip about autoplay
