Let's be realistic tho, the gent up there want its solidly for gaming, this is a nice laptop but not for gaming it would run to choppy some games if at all would run, with 4gb of ram you will need to upgrade for sure, and there isnt much room for upgrading this laptop, maybe he could push it to 8gb. But finding a new laptop for less than 500 dollar good luck. Now if he would look at a "home" laptop he can find a reasonable price to stay at 500 dollar like an Acer Aspire E5-571-3205. But if your looking something solid for gaming you will need to aim more like 800 dollars maybe 900 to find something decent.

This will be absolutely terrible for gaming. It would struggle on minimum settings...

Smooth on very low settings or low, I only PVP i dont care about the looks

Oh sorry, forgot this thread was for a laptop for playing minecraft. The laptop he posted isn't a gaming laptop by all means, but it will work for minecraft. Generally any new laptop with an i3/i5 will play mc smoothly on "fancy" graphics. Brand doesn't matter. Specs do.
