Hello all, I will try to make this short and sweet.
About 2 months ago my employer was going to toss a Sanyo DP55441 TV only because most of the HDMI ports on the board would not work. So I grabbed it for free.
Earlier in the year another DP55441 the company had just seem to die, no power no nothing so thinking THAT TV might have had a power supply problem I grabbed the main board out of it to replace the one in the TV I grabbed. I installed the board from the dead TV into the working one and for a short time the TV turned on and all was well for about 5 minutes. Then it died. So I put the original Main Board back in the TV I grabbed to use and it has been running fine up until yesterday.
Wife said she was watching TV, turned it off, came back about 2 or 3 hours later and then the TV would not power on at all.
I did the reset thing and still no power.
My question is should I take the chance and purchase another main board that I found for 95 bucks or should I bite the bullet and drop it off at a repair center.
The TV is in great shape and honestly is less than 2 years old.
The place I plan on ordering the board from claims they will honor the return if the board does not fix the problem along with a 20% restock fee.
As much as I would love to purchase a NEW TV it is just not in the budget.

What Cha Think?
