The first one is a true quad core (4 cores + 4 threads = 8 threads total), the second one is only a dual core with threading (2cores + 2 threads = 4 threads total).

So that makes the decision easy.

The first one is hands down far better, with 8 threads over the 4 the second one has. Not to mention 4 more GB of RAM will help with the video editing and running multiple programs at once. On top of that the First can store more videos.
