When using my TV as a computer monitor, the view on the TV is slightly too large. I went to the Control Panel and adjusted the resolution down on setting but that did not seem to change anything.

Solution
TVs overscan the input so that you never see blank lines. PC monitors don't overscan. If your video control panel will not let you resize the output then you will have to do this in the TV. Check all the menus to see if there is a setting for pixel by pixel or a picture size adjustment. If you can't find this in the regular menus you may need to access the service menu. It will affect your other sources so check them too.

If you have an Nvidia card:

Goto Nvidia control panel while you have your computer hooked up to your TV then go here:

http://gyazo.com/9448373e957e156f1daaea542505befe <--- check the box

And no, this will NOT AFFECT other display sources, just the one you choose. I've done this a million times in home and for $1MM work projects for customers (Hospitals for cisco telepresence)
