Before you take it in, there are several things you can try. Here are two to start with:
- get a can of compressed air and some qtips and thoroughly clean the intake and exhaust vents. Pay special attention to copper cooling vanes inside of the exhaust vent.

- go to the support page and make sure all of your drivers and BIOS are up to date.

Cleaning the dust out of the cooling system should help your temps overall, and the updates will help ensure that your mobo and components, including the CPU, are playing nicely together. Let me know what kind of results you get and we'll go from there.

74C is a bit warm, but not dangerously so. What laptop do you have? What is the cooling fan doing - idling, maxing out, somewhere in between? What other processes are running? Obviously your laptop is up and running when this is occurring, else you wouldn't have a temp reading - it's possible that the CPU is being used for system processes which can cause some heating.
