Ok so i have a dell precision m4400 with the latest IDT drivers installed, i have a rocket fish headset that i recently replaced the cord in (4 pole for mic and speakers) and has a single 3.5mm jack for both.
Problem is my laptop has a separate jack for mic and speakers so when my computer plays a sound it plays it through the mics input also so everyone can hear everything on my computer. No the sound is not bleeding from the speakers and it is not stereo mix.
For some reason the mic input does not play through the speakers. I looked it up and the answer for everyone using realtek audio is too enable multiple streams and it worked for me on my desktop but i have no options for that in the IDT audio driver control panel so i tried uninstalling the IDT drivers and using the windows audio drivers but the problem is still there and i cannot find an option to separate the audio streams.
I could really use some help if anyone has some suggestions, basically does anyone know of a way to separate the mic and headset audio streams for the IDT or Microsoft audio drivers like you can in the realtek control panel?
