Blue blinking light no power

Young daughter playing movie star planet on my laptop and I have just realised she is pressing the power button to turn it off and not powering down properly!!

When I have gone to use it today it won't power up but the power light blinks blue five times.

It's a hardware fault requiring diagnosis by a laptop repair technician. Take it into a (local) laptop repair shop and ask for a cost estimate before giving them the go-ahead with repairing it.
