I am replacing the hard disk on an hp 635 laptop. This laptop ha an unusual assembly of two half shells that enclose the hard disk . The assembly is then inserted in the mounting hole in the motherboard. If the two half shells are assembled without the hard disk, they fit nicely into the mounting hole in the motherboard. If they are enclosing the hard disk in what I believe is the proper assembly condition, their width expands siightly and makes it almost impossible to insert in the hole in the motherboard

Clearly forcing the assembly is not the right approach. But how can I assembe the three parts to seat properly in the hold in the motherboard?

HP has a page on changing the hard disk but they neglected to even mention even the existence of the two half shells in their text. I gather there are few hp laptops that have this construction.

I really need a workable approach. I would even be pleased with a suggestion where I might find further instruction.
