Hi I'm starting my first year in mechanical engineering so I'm trying to find a cheap laptop that could run programs like autocad and solidworks and last me at least 4 years.I found this and was wondering what yah'll thought.

ASUS K450LD Windows 8 (so will most likely be newest solidworks unless I change to 7)
1366x768
Intel i7-4500u (was afraid that the "u" won't be enough")
Nvidia GT820M (not sure it 1 gb or 2)
8 GB

If this is a forsure no I was looking at the dell precision line if anyone has any recommendations.

I guess I should have mentioned I have a custom built desktop which I keep at home. This would be just for day to day school.
It really just needs to be good enough to handle solidworks and have enough longevity to last 4 years.
