Here is my TV. It's meh, but whatever. I plug the yellow jack into the green port, and the red and white jacks into the respective audio ports. I turn the input to component/AV on my TV, and I turn the power on my Nintendo 64, but nothing happens. I get absolutely no response from the TV.

The power turned on and everything, on the console itself, so I reasoned that it can't be power cable that is at fault. Then I looked at the AV cables. I used my Gamecube AV cables to connect the N64 to the LED TV, and nothing happened still. So, it can't be the AV Cables or the power cord that is at fault. What is going on? I tried everything on my old TV as well, so it's not just that my LED TV doesn't support the N64. What's going on here? Is my N64 just dead, or is there some secret trick to make it work?

I got it to work on my LED TV, I just gave it the expansion pak, and hit it a little bit. but now I need it to be optimized. The graphics, while not totally unplayable, are noticeably choppy.

There is no solution that I can find. I have 2 cables that came with Gamecubes, and the gamecubes failed. However the N64 always works because it has a secret. No moving parts, and also some games, you can access the memory, As far As I am concerned, the N64 is the greatest thing ever. No moving parts and built in memory! There is always a possibility that it will work again. Playstation 2 works, why not N64?

The thing is, is that you need to also use a video recorder in the process. A dvd player won't work. First, you need to use a gamecube scart/phono lead assembly. Plug this into the back of the N64 and then attach the 3 colored leads to the scart adaptor. Plug the scart into the input of the video recorder. Get another double ended scart lead. Plug one end into the output of the video recorder and the other end into the socket on your tv set. Plug in the video recorder. It doesn't need to be turned on - mine lights up just by being plugged in. Tune your tv to SCART 1. SCART 2 will cause the picture to be displayed in black and white. Hope you have some success with this.

There must be a solution to this. My N64, well I assumed would connect to my LED TV, but there seems to be something I am missing

I've tried everything and the only thing that works is the XRGB Framemeister.
Costs around $300. it's an upsacler for retro games.
Took a while to get the right settings but my Samsung 55" LED plays it very well. Either that or get the HDMI mod for the N64. Also very pricey.
