Canon PowerSot SX120IS- SD card is 'locked' & can't take or modify pictures. Card is not physically 'locked' & menu fuctions for card are also unavailable. Tried a new card, tried new batteries & even the 'reset to default'...no luck. Any ideas on unlocking the card? Oh and the problem started after card was removed to print photos then re-inserted...again card is not physically locked.

Solution
The delicate pins inside the camera might have been damaged during the card removal and re-inserting process.

Personally, I overcome this potential damage issue by leaving the card inside the camera and by connecting a cable to the camera and leaving the cable attached at all times. This way I eliminate the inserting and removal process for the card as well as the cable. This is a little inconvenient, but it works!

I know how delicate these pins are; I used to work in the connector (computer, automobile, electronics) industry.

This may not solve your present issue, but it is something to think about for future use.
