This one will do. It has and i5 and gt 840 combo making it awesome for light gaming.

It has a GPU so you should have o problem running Dota 2 and if even record it if you're into that stuff.

Thanks, but i think that 1366 x 768 kinda kills the effect of an 840. any opinions on that?

It doesn't seem to have a GPU which will severely bottleneck your performance. It also has a slow HDD. It's also not worth getting 1080p at such a low budget.

No. It's more detail in lessee resolution. Anyways, a gt 840 would be reduced to medium in most games at 1080p.

You will notice it no matter what, but you will get used to it pretty fast (even though you might not like it)

I already got my beast computer (4690K @4.4, GTX 770)

I really want a nice laptop that can play dota 2 at good settings smoothly when i go to a friends house. He also has a desktop that i built him, so we cant easily travel with our computers.

Any recommendations would be nice.

I dont need it to be huge, just not small. 1080p Preferred.
Budget: Under $550 USD

Edit: Refurbished is fine too

Would you get a used laptop ?
Reason why I asked is that you could get a far better used gaming laptop for that price than a new or refurnished,
