Won't boot, no display, no post, power light stays on

you can hear fans come on and stay on. DVD comes on for a second, then turns off, no post or display. I have tried to boot it from a disk and replaced the hard drive. Nothing, swapped the ram and tried good stick. Pulled laptop apart and checked power switch and wires to display, nothing looked pinched or broken. Any one have any ideas????

Sounds like a bad stick of RAM.
take the stick of RAM and see if it works in another lapotp.

have the excact same problem...only that my laptop is brand new and havent even booted once....im so CRAZY right now........

What is the make and model of your laptop? Try booting in the BIOS.
