I was going to build myself a desktop, but after considering everything, a laptop would be far more suitable to my lifestyle. I have found two that seem to offer exactly what I want. I should add that weight is not an issue, I dont mind if it is 2 pounds or 10. These are at my upper limit for budget, I should add.
They both seem to be capable of 1080p gaming at 60fps for most games, while some of the more graphically demanding ones would cause it to drop into the 40 range, which is still plenty good enough for me. Am I right in estimating this?
Of course, if you're aware of a better one to look at, please don't hesitate to recommend it!

The MSI:

The CyberPower: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834198040

Thank you!

Your estimation is perfect if you consider that you will need to lower some detail on a laptop compared to a desktop.

Anyway that being said, those are both great choices.

I would normally recommend the MSI just purely because I am familiar with their build quality which is great.

The Cyberpower one does however have 100MHz faster CPU while the MSI comes with a mouse and mouse pad.

BUT the most important thing. The Cyberpower PC has a 120GB SSD!!!!!! So there, easy decision that makes the MSI nor worth it at all!

Short answer, get the Cyberpower one!

I wouldn't recommend CyberpowerPC as I've heard bad things about the brand. The MSI one looks amazing!. The CyberpowerPC seems to have an SSD and like 30$ less

I think that only applies to the Desktop PCs, which I am well aware of the bad name they have, but they likely just bought this design from Lenovo or someone and rebranded it.

But can not say for sure

I have the MSI Computer Corp GT70 DOMINATORPRO-890 and it's an amazing laptop. I am able to play just about any games on high settings. I have maxed out:
> Call of Duty Ghosts with 79 fps
> GTA IV with 60 fps
> Far Cry 3 with 57 fps
> ARMA 3 with 50 fps
> BF4 with 48 fps
and crysis 3 with 52 fps

These results I think are awesome...
Go for the MSI over the cyberpower as MSI has a better customer service and far better reputation
Also, the MSI laptop is sold a little cheaper at amazon; see here >http://amzn.to/1l1oWoB

Have a cyberpower fang evo which is a msi gt70. If support is of any concern to you forget cyberpower. I have a broken space key on key board and the cable on the power brick has shed it's plastic coating. Less than 1 yr. old. cyberpower told me both parts are msi gt70 parts. and that is all the support they offer. not sure of relationship between the two companies both are in city of industry in California. Cyber power supposedly offers "upgrades" that MSI doesn't. I discourage you and anybody else from ever buying anything from cyber power.
