Hi guys. I am looking to upgrade my dell Inspiron 3135 computer in order to play games like league of legends and Starcraft 2.
Here's a link to the computer:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00HTT9LCS?pc_redir=1407643752&robot_redir=1

It's got a really slow 1.1ghz processor in the form of an AMD A6 APU. My budget is around $200-$250 max. I already have peripherals (I.e. Mouse keyboard and monitor) so no need to add that into the possible cost of upgrade.

So what do you guys think I can do for under $250 to make this be able to play games like League of Legends (required spex:

https://support.leagueoflegends.com/entries/26564905-Minimum-and-Recommended-System-Requirements
)

And Starcraft 2 (spex:

https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/starcraft-ii-system-requirements

)

I'm assuming that I'm going to have to upgrade the APU to a better one? Would I be able to put in a dedicated gpu? Better to go APU or CPU/gpu? APU + GPU? I'm looking for best performance possible under $250 for an upgrade. And no saving money for a new one is not an option, as I'm on a really right budget.

Thank you guys so much for your help in advance.

ok another problem. Your unit does not have a socketed cpu. The cpu is soldered to the motherboard making it impossible (except for specialized machinery) to upgrade. So, You are completely out of luck. Sorry again.

First of all only the expensive laptops have upgradeable GPUs. So the only things you can even upgrade are the ram and the CPU. These laptop cooling systems are made for the low powered cpu's that they are equipped with. Even if you upgraded your laptop to a much more powerful cpu, the cooling system would not be adequate for it. That is IF it is even upgradable at all. Sorry to tell you this. Not many people game with laptops because of these very restrictions. A good gaming laptop would set you back about $2000.

I looked up the specs for your particular games. They are not the most power hungry games. But your laptop is still too slow for them. You might be able to upgrade your Dell to go fast enough for lowest settings. I will check the upgradeability for your unit. Also have you ever opened up a laptop to service it? Some are pretty tricky to work on.
