Logitech G430 left/right speaker balance

Hey,
I bought the Logitech G430 surround headsets, and I'm having a problem with them. I tried different headsets and they all seem to pressure my left ear more than my right ear, and in the case of the G430, the sound is louder on the left (not a software/USB sound card problem, I tried connecting it to the 3.5mm jack on my phone, and the same thing happens).
Using Windows's Speaker level balance, I managed to make it a little bit better, but I can't chose the perfect setting (85 left, 100 right), as it jumps from 84 to 86.

My question is, is there a place in the registry where I can set this manually?

Yes. The Logitech software has a surround sound mixer, but it only has effect in surround stuff. In music, for example, the sound comes only from the "center", and I can't change the left-right level balance of it. Only in the Windows thing.

Realtek's sound manager software would do this, but I'd lose the surround capability if I used it (the G430 have simulated surround sound, only 1 green jack).

Any other ideas?
Thanks :)

Maybe I'll do that as a last resort. Meanwhile, does anyone else have any suggestions?

I'm using the Logitech USB soundcard, without it I lose the surround sound. It's not a bad sound card, though, since this also happens when connecting the 3.5mm green jack to my phone :/

If I remember correctly, you can still change it through Windows and have the capabilities of the software at the same time.

I'm assuming you're using Windows 7, although it will be similar for other versions of Windows.

Right click on the speaker icon > Click "Playback Devices" > Find your G430's > Right click it and go to "Properties" > Click on the "Levels" tab > Click on the "Balance" button > Adjust each side to your preference.

I guess this isn't a solution, but still.

These headsets have been a pain in the arse. I could never fix this left-right sound balance issue and the sound distortion when increasing the volume. Not to mention that the horrible microphone would only record half the things I said if connected it to the USB thingy (pretty much the whole G430 user base complained about this) and it made an annoying sound when connected to the 3.5mm motherboard entrance.

Wanna guess what happened last week? The flexible thing above one of the ear cups broke, transforming this product into an expensive paperweight (it kinda already was one in the first place). Thankfully I was able to convince the store I bought this at to give me back the money in store credit, and ordered the Ozone Rage 7HX headets. I read quite a few reviews and they said it's good enough (well, crap, at least the mic works and there's no sound distortion, right?).

Note to self don't buy anything from Logitech ever again!

You mean the left/right sound balance? If so, I know, happens with the green jack as well. I was referring to the microphone.
