I have a N7100 i7 Dell laptop. It is a great laptop but it just doesn't quite play lol and starcraft as well as I'd like. Are there any hardware upgrades I can do? or anything software wise? Here are my specs.

Operating System
MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
CPU
Intel Core i7 @ 2.00GHz 44 °C
Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology
RAM
8.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 664MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard
Dell Inc. 09G8VY (CPU) 44 °C
Graphics
Generic PnP Monitor (1600x900@60Hz)
(Illegal Vendor ID)
Hard Drives
625GB TOSHIBA TOSHIBA MK6475GSX (SATA) 25 °C
Optical Drives
Optiarc DVDRWBD BC-5540H
Audio
Realtek High Definition Audio

Thanks for any advice.

Sadly, most likely not. Most laptops components are soldered directly onto the motherboard, which practically voids any upgradability. Quite a few will have socketed CPU and RAM, but your laptop doesn't need an upgrade on any of those fronts.

Adding a discrete GPU to a laptop isn't feasible in most case. Some higher end gaming laptops use discrete GPUs on removable cards, in similar fashion to the desktop PCs. In those very rare cases, it is possible to upgrade the GPU.

Since your notebook does not even seem to have a discrete GPU, it is most likely that it wasn't even designed with this in mind. So in your case, I doubt that it would be possible.

99% of the time, you cannot significantly upgrade a laptop (and I don't believe this particular laptop is the exception). Most that allow you to upgrade the GPU -- and very expensively -- are higher-end gaming or workstation laptops.
