Looking for a good PC headset upgrade from my TurtleBeach X11's. Any recommendations are helpful. Looking for good all-around headset (gaming, music, movies, etc.) I've found interest in the Steelseries Siberia v2's and Logitech G930's. Would like to spend around 100-200 dollars. What would you prefer and why? If worth it, I will consider headphones with an external mic. Thanks!

I haven't used the Steelseries headset, however I did use the G930 for a few months. While the G930's sound good enough (especially with the EQ that it comes with) and have a lot of cool bells and whistles, I can't whole-heartedly recommend them. They are the buggiest headset I have ever used. Don't get me wrong, they work mostly, but once they start giving you issues (which will more than likely happen) its not going to end. I used a set given to me by a friend for a few months and they were buggy. 3 other friends bought them and all of them have had some sort of issue with them.

At that price range you may be able to find some Sennheiser headsets. If you're fine with a closed design (which it would seem that you are) it looks like...
my suggestion would be headphones with an add-on boom mic. money for money headphones generally sound much better than headsets.

you need to specify what soundcard you have or if you use onboard what motherboard you have.

also you need to specify if you need virtual surround or not.

also, what kind of sound profile do you like? (lots of bass, lots of highs with little bass, more bass and highs than mids, neutral, etcetera)

If you're fine with a closed design (which it would seem that you are) it looks like the Sennheiser PC350's are $150 on Amazon right now. Those with something that can power them like the ASUS Xonar DGX would work well. I'm personally using the Sennheiser PC360's with a Xonar DGX and they sound great.
