So I currently have a dual graphics laptop. Its thermal margin is at 30c (British Measurement not Fahrenheit).

The Tjmax is 100c. Does this mean it is doing 70c on idle?

The CPU is A10 4655m with 7620g GPU.
The dedicated Graphics is 8670m 2GB.

HP already want it back since it is doing like 100c on HW Monitor and Speccy. I've got my cash refund in 8 days time.

Want to know the normal thermal margin these Laptops operate at.

Yes - 70C

70C is fairly normal. But I'd try to cool it better with a laptop cooler.

The only program you should use to monitor CPU temperature is core temp. Everything else reports weird numbers with amd Apu laptops. I have an Acer with an a10-4600m and a dedicated 7670m. HW monitor is wrong and so is everything else except core temp. Your laptop should be around 30-40c on idle. At max your temp should be loosely around 80c. I've never been over 85c. You're welcome. I've made one too many posts about this.

I have installed core temp but I have been unable to set it up. CPU 0: selector is grey and the overall CPU temp is always 0c on the 4655m.

I tried AMD overdrive. The thermal margin was constantly 30c on idle which could mean it is running at 70c at idle..

I would be grateful for any links to previous posts you have wrote in the past about the subject.

Been into the HP bios. There is no temperature reading at all.
