My laptop got a small crack from falling on the bottom corner and it is exposing the inside of the laptop. It dropped several months ago but I was just wondering if there is anyway to patch it up? I was thinking of just putting a piece of tape so dust doesn't go inside but would the tape catch on fire due to the heat? Should I just leave the crack there because it acts like a ventilation hole for air to go in and out? Thanks

Hmmm.... maybe this could help (http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9137518/6_easy_laptop_repairs_Your_step_by_step_guide?taxonomyId=12&pageNumber=2). It's a method to fill in the crack in your case. I wouldn't put tape, since the adhesive may melt in to the laptop.

If you wanted an easy fix, I'd recommend a cloth to cover the crack. Somehow attach a cloth to the hole and cover it so random debris won't fall in!
