Hi all,
I just received my new Precision M6800, and installed CS:GO and Planetside 2. My laptop is running an i7 4810MQ and a FirePro M6100. I turned on "high performance" in global settings in Catalyst and changed power plan to "Ultra Performance". However in both games I am getting 15-25 FPS. As the 4810MQ is one of the most powerful mobile CPUs and the M6100 scores the same as an 860M / 770M in benchmarks, I assumed performance would be better. I have noticed the fans are barely spinning up. Any ideas?

Solution
Yea your hardware should be doing twice that. I would say in your global settings you want to reset them all to be controlled by the application. Then adjust it inside the game itself for best results.

Also try adjusting AA down as AA is a super killer for performance. Try that maybe

Ok I will try that. I was running both games on ultra low / low so I didn't have AA on.

See it would of made sense if AA was maxed out you were getting such bad performance, but if it was off that is even more wacky but could just be a glitch in the programs working together trying to adjust the settings. So setting the video settings in the game itself might fix that still.

I think I figured it out. In catalyst the number of displays was set to 6; I changed that to 1 and then I was getting around 40FPS in CS:GO. I'll try Planetside 2 now.

EDIT: Planetside 2 is running great now too; 60FPS on medium. Thanks so much for the help, feel like a bit of an idiot now.
