Hello Guys,

I'm looking to get a new laptop in the range of $1000 or INR 60k.
I'm student and mostly use it for programming and gaming

Here are my choices

1] Lenovo Z50-70 (59-427812) Notebook
Core i7 (4th Gen) 4500U , 8 GB Ram, 1 TB Sata hardisk, DDR3 4GB NVIDIA GeForce 840M

2] Dell Inspiron 15
Core i7 (4th Gen) 4500U , 8 GB Ram, 1 TB Sata hardisk, DDR5 2GB AMD Radeon HD 8850M

In the above two models it comes down to graphic card and i'm unable to figure out to go with which one

Please suggest from the above or any other models !!

Solution
An Ultra-Low processor is not suitable for high quality gaming but maybe for casual gaming. Other from that, the Dell Inspiron 15 is the way to go.
The 8850 performs slightly better than the 840M when you look at FPS benchmarks (http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-840M.105681.0.html). It's a close call, but the 800M series GPU's are known for more battery efficiency and producing less heat. I'd personally go with the Lenovo!

Going with Dell Inspiron 15 !

Tried the following games in Dell Inspiron 15, Good experience.

COD MW2, 3 , Ghosts, Tom Clancy Ghost recon : Future soldier (About to try crisis 3)

The build quality of the touchpad buttons is horrible but can be managed...everything else is good for the price range.

The only reason i didn't go with Lenovo Z50-70 (59-427812) was there are very few reviews and ratings on this model and moreover i used the dell previously so sticking with dell's reliability.

Thanks Guys !

You could you a mouse instead of the mouse pad.

But anyways, we are glad to help.

If you don't mind if you press the "Pick Solution" button, so others who have trouble picking between the two laptops.
