Hi everyone,

Notebook: Clevo P370EM
RAM: 16GB
GPU: ATI 7970M (2x)
Bought: Dec' 12
OS: Win7 64 Bit

I have a problem: I've just rebooted my Notebook before and after the reboot, I saw white stripes and got a BSOD (Memory_Management) and had to reboot. After reboot, the same thing happened again and again. I got different errors too or there was just a black screen after the "Welcome" - screen.
A picture can be found here: http://www.image24.net/uploads/54672f91d0pzzzzzzz.jpg
Now comes the weird part: After rebooting in Safe Mode, there were no stripes. Works fine. Thus, I think it's a software error or a problem regarding the GPU or GPUs?

Additionally, before restarting (before the stripes occured), I've noticed flickering (for the first time) while watching a few youtube videos. This occured for the first time today.

I haven't installed or changed any drivers in the past few months, so I dont think that the problem is related to those. Additionally, I havent downloaded any cracks or programs which could contain malware.

I have tried switching the RAMs (I have 2 8GB in there), i.e. I've switched them and tried to leave just one of them in there. Didn't change anything :/

Do you have any idea what could have caused this?

Thanks a lot in advance!!!

PS: Ive tried disabling CrossFireX in Safe Mode but it doesn't let me (Catalyst says that there are no drivers to be loaded). Is this normal for safe mode or could my driver be corrupt? As written above, I havent changed my driver in the past few months.

PS 2: I have a netbook which Im using to access the internet now. I think it should be possible to burn CDs and DVDs in Safe Mode, if necessary.

I just did a Windows Repair and after rebooting, it worked again. It didnt find any errors, though.

I dont think the problem is fixed, to be honest. For safety, I've disabled CrossFireX and will keep it disabled for a week (in case the slave is broken).

Please still tell me what to do to find out what caused the problem.

I have two Minidumps! Here are the descriptions. Please tell me if I should upload the files too.

On Sat 26.07.2014 23:25:53 GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\072714-9422-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: atikmpag.sys (0xFFFFF88005EE42B0)
Bugcheck code: 0x117 (0xFFFFFA800F0E24E0, 0xFFFFF88005EE42B0, 0x0, 0x0)
Error: VIDEO_TDR_TIMEOUT_DETECTED
Bug check description: This indicates that the display driver failed to respond in a timely fashion.
A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: atikmpag.sys .
Google query: atikmpag.sys VIDEO_TDR_TIMEOUT_DETECTED

On Sat 26.07.2014 22:59:04 GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\072714-10920-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x75BC0)
Bugcheck code: 0x1A (0x41790, 0xFFFFFA800ABD6FB0, 0xFFFF, 0x0)
Error: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This indicates that a severe memory management error occurred.
This might be a case of memory corruption. More often memory corruption happens because of software errors in buggy drivers, not because of faulty RAM modules.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

To give you an update: It occured again the next day and apparently, the GPU is broken. Also, while it worked, as soon as I started any game, the stripes reappeared.

I dont have any warranty anymore but I suppose that the master card is broken. Ill get that one replaced.
