Is this a good gaming laptop for games like minecraft?

Yes that won't have any issue with Minecraft. It should probably on average get 60FPS regardless of how high you set the graphics settings.

Here is a link which shows how well that graphics chip in the laptop did with other games you can use as an estimate.

P.S. I also own a laptop with a similar graphics chip and manage to play games pretty well as long as I don't go past Medium settings or play older games. So you should be fine with Minecraft.

60 fps doesnt seem all that good i really dont know how to judge the fps in minecraft is 60 a good number?

Your monitor only displays 60FPS. Most monitors only do 60FPS unless you pay a huge amount of money for one which has a higher refresh rate. 60 is typically what you want it to be.

Also the reason it will hit 60FPS and stop at that, is because knowing 90% of monitors only display at 60FPS a software tool called V-Sync is used which locks it down at 60FPS. This prevents graphical problems from trying to display too many frames at a time, which can result in parts of multiple frames to be rendered at the same time and have bad effects, and it also makes sure the graphics card is only used as much as needed. This way it doesn't use more power than it has to.
