Hello,
I have the ROG G75 notebook and my battery has been experiencing trouble recently. It no longer warns me when it's about to crash due to low power like it used to. The other day, it also gave me a notification that the battery might need replacing because it wasn't functioning properly.
That being said, I'm looking for a new battery. I have found many versions of the same battery at higher voltages. My instinct would be to look for one with the same exact spec in Voltage/mAh/Wh. As it is, my battery is a 14.4V/5200mAh/74Wh.
Some sites claim that other batteries will still work without causing any harm for example, a 14.8V. Would this be safe? Or should I go with my gut and get a 100% OEM part to spec?
