Agreed, I have an Acer at home and the price-to-performance value is great! It's affordable, but it offerings great components.
However, a great deal of our iBUYPOWER customers opt for Gigabyte laptops for their build quality and components. The downside is the price difference in both brands. Gigabyte is definitely more "premium" in comparison to Acer.
If you have the budget for a Gigabyte, I'd go for it. However, if money is an issue, Acer is a perfectly capable brand for your computing/gaming needs.

Honestly it depends on the model of the laptops. Gigabyte have more higher end specialised offerings, Acer's laptops are cheaper but don't have absolutely outrageous specs. As far as quality goes, there's not much difference between them, both are solid companies who really know what they're doing. I'd recommend either one of their products.
