I received a desk top (acer) from the neighbor. Ever since then I keep noticing that when I try to delete something it says action cancelled by other user, or admin accessible only and Im the "only" registered admin that I know of. I delete something and the computer shuts itself off and the deleted program is back and blocked from me doing anything to it. Other things happen too its like someone has hacked a back door and i want to know if its so... i think he did something to it before he gave it to me. Theres too many things that happen when I try to clean it up.

I live on very limited funds and I cant work so I need the computer to go to school and I an trying to save up to get a win disk but recent bouts of cancer for me and a sick child have drained my bank account.

In a perfect world, there would be no malware or hacking attempts. Whether the neighbor did it, or it was done to his PC...you are now the target.

What OS?
Is there a sticker on the case with a license key printed on it? If Win 7, you can download the official ISO and install clean.

Even if not....buy your own license, wipe and reinstall.
Or, continue to enjoy the apparent hacked nature of this machine.

I just hope you haven't put any username/passwords in it that are associated with 'money'.

Then you might want to explore one of the legally free Linux operating systems.
From what you've said...that PC is not 'fixable' outside of a full wipe and reinstall.

Ideally, the person who sold you the computer is obligated to include a licenced copy of the operating system, rather, it is your responsibility to insist for the same. Anyway, you can install a friendly Linux distro with Libreoffice and accomplish the same (if not more) things as you would, from a Windows PC.

There are lots of tutorials on the internet for getting up and started with Linux, I'd be happy to send you some links.

Its XP and again I dont enjoy this. I dont want this. I dont have the money to purchase a new licensee or I would have done so by now and thusly have avoided this all together. I am aware of what the dangers are it it has infact happened. I have not put anything on here that can be traced nor anything that is valuable to my lively hood other than school stff. I am not able to afford a new code I dont have the money. I cant afford 25 dollars let alone 250 at the moment. however I do have a laptop that needs repaired and that is a win 7. I might be able to use it with that product code. I cane here seeking a way to know for sure. I understand this is your job and I can appreciate your point of view however I am not joking when i say I have no money for it. I cant even afford to buy food right now. and I have kids. please stop assuming I am asking for this and i apparently want to put up with the crap because I wont do anything to fix the issue the way you are saying i need to. I know i do. I appreciate you got right to the core of the issue, however if I cant afford food for my family and i need to stay in school to get the rest of the loan money so I CAN afford these things I need a temp fix to block this person out until I CAN wipe and reset.

I understand the finance thing. Been there, done that.
But some issues are not 'fixable'. That PC would seem to be one of them.

If you are in school, very, very often the school has a licensing agreement with Microsoft for cheap or free student licenses. Explore that.

And truly...I'm not 'assuming' anything. Just saying that you can't really 'fix' that PC outside of a full wipe and reinstall.

Let's assume that we run a full, deep virus scan. Did it find everything? Well...it found everything it knows about. Maybe not 'everything', though.

There is no 'temp fix' for that PC, aside from unplugging the ethernet cable and turning off the WiFi.

There is only the need to keep moving forward so I can do something to get the kids what they need for the moment until things get better. Will you both hopefully be able to be available for a linux install?
