Just today after i returned home from work, my laptop (DV7 3085DX) started acting strangely. Everything was fine on the morning when I left.
When it boots up, at first the screen is at my regular brightness, then just dims to the lowest. I cannot change this afterwards (fn key doesn't work, and I can't access screen brightness changer in control panel).
Also, I somehow now have windows classic theme instead of windows 7 aero. Again, everything is grayed out when I try to fix it using right click --> prissy personalize...
Many other things are also disabled, such as my volume and my Wi-Fi USB stick...
I tried booting in safe mode, and all the issues above still persists...
Does anyone know what's wrong? Is this some weird virus? Is something wrong with my hardware? Please help!!!
