Windows installation taking long

Solution
Could be a few things but the two most common issues are going to have to do with your installation media or your hard drive. Assuming you're using optical media, if your install DVD is scratched or the DVD drive is faulty that can lead to problems with reading the disk. If your hard drive is faulty it could hang everything if its trying to write the install to bad sectors. Beyond that, it could potentially be memory issues, cpu issues, etc but install media or HD are the most common problems.

Anyway you can test the drive with a bootable diag disk or try loading the OS on to a flash drive and installing from there?
