thinking about buying the hp envy 15t and cant decide between the two options. i dont play high end games just cheap steam games and minecraft. can anyone help me decide or show me a better laptop around $1000. preferably less. would like quad i7. hdmi output. 8 gb ram or more. high resolution screen. plan on putting a samsung evo 1 terabyte ssd into whatever i get. thanks! sorry for any errors or if this is in the wrong thread.

Here's a laptop that can produce great performnce via i7 Intel Processor, 850M GTX, and 8GB of RAM - (http://www.amazon.com/N550JK-DS71T-Full-HD-Touchscreen-Laptop-Aluminum-Body/dp/B00IAA5BSS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1406054306&sr=8-1&keywords=asus+laptop+850m).

It has a handful of great reviews!

I'm actually considering the same laptop but I will be getting the one with 850m for sure. as graphics goes the 850 is waaay better then the HD 4600.
You probably won't need a quad core CPU.

intel 4600 quad core is the built in integrated graphics processor so it's going to be integrated on any Haswell processor. I'f your noty doing heavy dutiy gaming then a discrete card isn't important. Adding a 1tb will be close to half of what your spending on the laptop. If you can you should get a laptop with 2 bays so you can move the HD that came with it to the second bay and use the SSD as the boot drive.
