Hi everyone, I have noticed the fan on my Toshiba L850 laptop has been buzzing away at top speed for a few weeks now. I think the problem is a lot of dust in the power supply. If I look through the cooling vent there appears to be quite a bit of dust in there. I have tried blowing it out without any luck. I am not confident taking the case off to clean it out and don't really know what is involved. Can anybody give some advice here? Where do I start and what precautions do I need to take?

you need can of compressed air if that does not work start laptop and gently send some air with the fan speed that could help ,but if you want to open it you will need to find the service manual for it and be carefull not to break anything that will made the laptop useless .

The compressed air seems to have done the trick! A couple of bursts on one side of the vent and a load of dust came out the other side. So far the fan has not been whirring away like it was so all seems good for now. Thanks again :)
