Hi everyone,

About 7 months ago, my Acer 4520 laptop always off by itself, so I tried to cleap up the dust on the fan inside of it. But when i attached everything back again, my laptop couldn't start up, i only heard my fan still work. So, i try to reopen the case again to make sure evertyhing was attached. But after that, my laptop surely dead. There was no sign of life.

I brought it to the service and they said that it was a gpu problem, i should replace my mobo which price at about $250-$300. I didn't buy it, cause reall lack of money.

Today, i feel courious again, what's the real problem i face. I try to browsing and reading many resources but it seems so confusing. Starting from what it cause until how to fix it.

So here's my problem now:

- Charger seems fine, when I attached the charger to the battery, the led indicator lights on.

- The battery give a sign green led when a couple hours charging.

- But when i hit the power button, really really nothing happen, no light, no sound, no led power on.

Is it my mobo really dead? or its about gpu, just like the service said to me before?

I'm not electrician and really noob about electricity. I don't have any tools like multimeter, hot air gun, solder, or the other tools except screwdriver and thermal paste.

I used to clean up my desktop pc, but have no experiences on laptop. That was the first time i clean up a laptop.

I wish anyone can help me and show me how should i do. I just wanna try to fix it but don't know how to do it. Please sorry for my english :(
