Well, within your budget the Lenovo z50 80EC000TUS is probably the gaming oriented laptop you can get. While Skyrim does run better with an Intel CPU they have weaker graphic cores when compared to many (not all) AMD APUs. Intel's CPU (not referring to the integrated graphics core) performance dominates AMD's APU in Skyrim, but that is an exception, not the rule.

The A10-7300's more powerful integrated graphics core help make up for the performance difference. I think a laptop with a Core i5-4200m and the integrated HD 4600 graphics core can be bought for $600, but the A10-7300 should still be able to give you good (and very likely better) performance because of the stronger graphics core.

You can check out a few game benchmarks in the following link:

http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Radeon-R6-Kaveri.117382.0.html

The R6 is ranked about equal to Radeon HD 8650m / HD 8730m and the GT 640LE.

Skyrim generally does not perform very well with AMD CPUs and APUs. Based on desktop benchmarks between the FX-8350 and the Core i5-2500k (2 generations old) both at stock speed and the same graphics card, the Core i5 has about a 20% performance advantage. However, this disparity is an exception not the rule. In most other games when comparing the FX-8350 to the Core i5-2500k the benchmark results are generally close to each other.

In terms of raw processing performance Intel CPUs are better than AMD CPUs which are better than AMD APUs.

I currently have AMD Turion-X2 Dual Core 2100MHz, 3GB RAM with Nvidia Gefore 8200M, (HP Notebook)
I do some tweaks and Skyrim works good at medium settings, except for the times when the combat gets intense. (Dragon breathing FIre etc.)

If AMD is not going to perform better, Then please if you can, suggest a system under $600 with intel and nvidia that is better than the one I just mentioned in my question.
( I need more RAM as I use some Engineering Softwares too)
