It was working fine, a couple of days ago. I tried to turn it on yesterday and the acer symbol came up like always then it went to a black screen with cursor that did this whole paragraph then at the bottom it said operating system not found. I tried rebooting and using my recovery discs. No go....I entered BIOS and the hard drive wasn't even listed. I took it out and reconnected figuring maybe it had loosened or something. Still nothing. Ever since the day I got it brand new out the box it got a little hotter than I thought it should. I kept a cooling stand underneath it at all times when it was on to help. Would a new hard drive work or should I scrap and get a new computer altogether?
