Is this Laptop good enough to run World of Warcraft and other games?

Solution
Hello,

It'll be certainly enough to play World of Warcraft, which does not need super high specifications. So for WoW, you're really safe, you'll normally be able to play it on ultra settings.
The graphics card will even handle recent games quite well, although with some lowered settings (check this page: http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-760M.92068.0.html -> Scroll completely downwards to the gaming list (last game is WoW)).

Work stuff (I guess programs like the Office packet and browsing, mails and stuff) will be no problem at all.

As the processors looks good as well, it won't be a problem for any of the above mentioned things.
An SSD won't have much impact on the FPS-rate, but more on the loading times of the pc...

An SSD won't have much impact on the FPS-rate, but more on the loading times of the pc itself (booting, starting programs and response speed) but is always preferred above a normal HDD (except if you'd prefer a bigger drive more and doesn't really care about the speed: it's not that big of loss, I'd say, and much more expensive. But If you got the money for it, it's always an advantage).

I hope this gives an answer on your question?
I didn't exactly look for any alternatives as this one would fit your needs but you could certainly check for the next couple of things:

- Do I want a bigger screen (17" is a big difference, but also in mobility: do you travel a lot? Or are you going to sit a lot at home and could use a bigger screen?)?
- No Blu-Ray (if you use this a lot, it could be a problem)

Also: does it need to be an Asus? Not that it's not good, but you could check MSI (specifically: MSI Apache Pro) as well, as they too offer great laptops.

If you know a thing or two about computer specifications, this post might come in handy:

Hi,

Thanks for your long detailed reply :) So it would run WoW on ultra settings at 1080p?

It will be a replacement for a desktop which il be using for work and at home so would travel by car with it abit. I do actually like the look of the bigger screen G750 range but not sure if i can afford them which is why im looking at this one, it's alot cheaper and better for carrying too. I looked at the MSI range but i'd prefer Asus as imo they're the kings all round but MSI are great laptops no doubt about it.

Cool thanks for that! It does seen like a nice laptop for £700 tbh, price wise I don't think anything is close to it?

Well, I guess it's a good price for those specifications. Although if you're getting the SSD along with it, count at least a 100£ extra I think (I'm not quite up to date with GBP standards, don't kill me if I'm wrong :) ). But it certainly is a good medium class laptop for the average gamer/user. Don't expect records to be broken here, that laptop won't do it! But for your use, it might exactly what you need, with that amount of money!

With a 500GB SSD your talking around £850 all In which is around $1450 so quite good I think? Asus are top notch quality too

I think this is the solution for me if I can't afford to to get one of the bigger G750 models

Agreed. If that's your budget and you're content about it, good!
