Just wanted to know what your opinions are on the model that I should choose for a laptop that should last 4-5 years. I already have an asus t100 so the portability + battery life front is mostly covered and I am looking more for a desktop replacement. Here is what I am looking for in the laptop in order of importance:
-Run IDEs and photo editing software(i.e. GIMP) at the same time with little slowdown
-Run emulators of mobile devices
-Swift at opening and closing most used programs(hybrid or SSD drive)
-Decent battery life(4-5 hours per charge)
-Portability
-Gaming( graphic quality doesn't matter but should run without lag)

Here are some of the models I was looking at:
Lenovo Y50:http://shop.lenovo.com/ca/en/laptops/lenovo/y-series/y50/?sb=:000001CA:0000569B:
HP ENVY TouchSmart 15j-151nr: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/HP-ENVY-TouchSmart-15-j151nr-Touchscreen-Notebook/productID.295783000

Also note that I am in Canada. Any thoughts or tips would be appreciated. Thanks for your time!

Yes, however it is more expensive( a bit outside my set budget at $1599.99). Do you have any other suggestions as that laptop covered most if not all my criteria?
