I've heard that Ultrabooks are not made for gaming. I recently bought an Acer M5 ultrabook and i play games in it like NFS MW2, The Run, COD MW3, AC Brotehrhood, and gives good FPS at medium to low settings(IntelHD 4000). Is there any way that playing games like these in ultrabook harm the machine unlike Notebooks?

Its just all about heat. Excessive heat for an extended period of time can slowly wear on a PC. That basically means it is all dependent on how good of a job Acer did on the cooling solution in your ultrabook.

The games themselves, or any software you would use for that matter, are not harmful. It is only bad in the long term if your ultrabook cannot dissipate heat quick enough, and it wouldn't matter whether you were playing games or using performance intensive professional software.

With all that said, it is perfectly fine to play games on your ultrabook.

no, no, no... it won't harm the machine.
the reason people state most notebooks /ultrabook included/ aren't made for gaming is that they have very weak gpu forcing you to play at low/medium details and lower framerates compared to normal pc that can max all settings at 60/120/144+ fps.
