Acer lack of suport for Aspire 5745G. Win 8 Drivers

I have an Acer Aspire 5745G i5 laptop with NVidia GT330M and their are no Win 8 drivers available and no new video drivers (switchable) available since 2011/11/10.

Acer says that the laptop is to old to deserve new drivers. ie unsupported.

I purchased it in 2010.

Any one had the same or better experience with Acer?

Many old laptops don't have constant driver updates, which can be an issue with video as newer games can have pretty big performance boost with just a driver tweak.

Acer is probably not the best brand for support, you'd have to get a business model like a T series Lenovo to find systems with long term updates.
