Steelseries 9H, sound nor mic is working?

So I just went and traded in my Corsair Vengeance 2100 for a pair of Steelseries 9H

I got home, plugged them in, installed the drivers, did what it told me to do, disconnect the sound card once installation was complete and plug it back in aaaand audio is not working, okey, so I updated my RealTek audio drivers and rebooted aaaaand still no audio. Halp

I'm a retard, the cords weren't completely connected to the soundcard, you had to push them in with some force. I feel dumb.

I had just this issue too. By the look of it there are quite a few people that have the same issue. It did take a surprising amount of force to "make" the connector into the headset itself. Your comment saved me a lot of hassle.
