I am looking for a good gaming laptop. Important traits are a fast SSD, big storage (at least on drive has to be SSD), a good screen (preferably 3K) and a long lasting battery (6 hours + on minimum brightness and wifi turned off). My budget is 2500 $. For the performance, I would like to play new games in 1080p with high or max settings at min. 30 fps (when recording).

Thanks for the suggesting, but I checked a few reviews and found out that lower priced laptops have better performance, so I am not sure if alienware is the right choice. Any other suggestions?

The only thing close to the type of battery life you want would be the Razor Blade 14-inch (2014). It has amazing performance and it's ultra thin.

It's an expensive piece of hardware, but it fits your price range, nicely. However, it does not have a large data capacity and the only options are for SSD. You kinda need to compromise on the battery life if you want a larger selection of laptops.

The like the new Razer Blade (especially the 3k screen), but the performance is lower than with similar priced laptop and the storage is to small. Also, please stop suggesting Alienware, because the 14 inch model doesn't have enough performance, I would have to add a couple 100 $ to my budget to get what I want from the 17 inch model and the 18 inch model has a bad battery.

You aren't get much battery performance out of any gaming laptop because they are meant to be used without it been unplugged.
Anyway, I'd go with the ASUS ROG or MSI, like oldbuckeye mentioned.

You asked then best gaming machine and the Alienware 14" isn't the best it's economical. If you want the best look Raid SSD's, GTX 880 SLI or single GP and no lower, 32 gb ram, large case with lots of air flow, low battery like and heavy. I think you should have stated what is a good gaming machine ?
