It all started when my space key stopped to work. Then I thought to clean the keypad. I searched over internet and found out the method to take out long slender cover above the F keys to take out and unscrew the 2 little screws to take out the key pad. I did it carefully noticing the underlying connection. I did little bit of wipe out cleaning underneath the place where keyboard rests (stainless steel in color). Then refitted the keyboard in place as suggested by the video. Then I found out that most of the keys weren't working (Few of them were working). So I searched more for troubleshooting the keyboard. In the process I found the process of hold power button for 10 sec for rebooting by removing the battery. So I did that. After that, my laptop hasn't turned on. The green light of AC indicator turns green when I connect the ac adapter. Please suggest me to get through this problem.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Solution
I think I will suggest replacing the keyboard, A quick search found them for $11-$30. Likely the keypad is bad enough it is preventing the boot process from completing. If you have a USB keyboard available, you might try it with that in, it may bypass the on-board keyboard (I'm not so sure of that though)

It did work. I bought a Toshiba keypad and replaced the old one, the boot process and keyboard worked fine.
Very grateful for your suggestion.
Though late for the reply, I thought may be this will be helpful to others searching answer for the same question.
Cheers!
