I have owned every speaker from Klipshorns, Electro Voice,JBL, AR,Advent, Polk, Altec Lansing, many of the speakers these companies made. being a professional audio file I can definitely state that none of them were as good as the Bose 901s! Sorry boys the 901s designed by Dr.Amar Bose back in 1968 including the newest line up of 901s blow all other speakers away!!!!

As a person who has listened to the 901 IV's for many hours in a appropriate room(s) and setting(s). I bought some used the 901 IV's in 1981 for my fraternity at the University of Oregon. We had some pro type Cerwin Vega's( I don't remember the model, horn tweeter, 12" woofer ) that we used along with the 901's( it is a large room). Sound quality wise, the 901's can play loud without blowing a driver. Which was really only the redeeming feature. I figured that at least they would last for many years.

We used a 200 watt Kenwood integrated amp to drive the Cerwin's, 100 watt McIntosh amp to drive the 901's.

I'm not sure if you're a troll but the 901 series IMHO don't have a very good sound. To say that the 901's blow all other speakers away, sounds like an ignorant statement to me.
