MY SCREEN GETS dark when my notebook on battery

screen works normally when it is plugged to electricity and once i turn it into battery the screen turns a bit dark. the funny thing is when i start my notebook on battery it works normally. !!

Not sure why it does not dim if you start the notebook on battery, but its normal for notebooks, laptops and other computers that rely on battery to dim the screen when not plugged in. This has to do with the power plan that they are using (for maximizing battery life). Usually the power plan selected when you get your notebook is like "balanced". What OS are you running on your notebook?
