Looking for an ultra cheap notebook/chromebook. Even a tablet is okay. Budget : <400

The only thing I intend on using this machine for is to read stuff on the go, watch movies on the go, take notes in class, browsing, email checking and stuff. Everything else I'll do on my desktop (which reeks of awesomeness btw). I'm look primarily for something sleek, light and functional. What would be best for my price range.

PS: I'm scared of cloud storage, and I don't know if I can hook my ext HD to a chromebook, haven't done enough research yet.

Thanks in advance everyone!

its pretty much a 2-1 laptop/tablet. Has a 10.1in screen (which might be too small form some users). Great battery life. Has a micro usb and a regular usb port which im 99% sure will work with your ext HD.

If you dont mind using touchpads Id get this as well.

Whats the brand of the ext HD btw. Also cloud storage really isn't something to be worried about. Im guessing your just going to upload documents and notes to the cloud. I would say that cloud storage is more reliable in the sense your documents will remain intact and ext HD do have a tendency to break down sometimes so I would say your documents are safer in the cloud.

I'm glad you can read PC world's review, the copy/paste function must be a boon as well...
