Accidently removed all audio files.

I emptyed my resycle bin and for some reason all my audio files were there (not just the drivers). So even if i installed the drivers my audio would'nt work. I've tried using a program called "Recuva" to recover lost files but when the program had found all the "deleted" files i remembered that i don't have any idea what name all my audio files have so the files were probably there but i could'nt find them and just to make it even harder for me half of the files were corrupt.
Is there any way to fix this besides resetting my computer (wich i really don't want to do because i have alot of important files on my harddrive) or can i just reset the OS?
I am running windows 8.
Here is something that popped up when i tried clicking on the speaker symbol in the bottom right (wich shows that the audio is muted by the way(and yu can't unmute it)):
