Hello, recently I disassembled my Asus K56CM, I noticed that on the right side, where 2 USB ports and a headphone jack are located, they aren't working anymore. USB doesn't get power. These ports are seperated from the motherboard via ribbon cable. Later, the two speakers aren't working anymore. I don't want to tinker around much more, so please, can You give me some suggestions? Thanks

Oh! Well if it's under warranty, you can send it in to the manufacturer. Or heck, if you're within the seller's return policy, then you might be able to request an exchange. The thing is, if you opened the system, the manufacturer may notice and it could void warranty. But if not, definitely let them handle that for you so that you don't pay out of pocket and use your own time to attempt the fixes (you may have to wait longer for their turnaround time is all). :)
Suggestions for what? If there is a hardware defect, the components probably need replaced. Often times private/individual sellers will offer the logic board you mentioned (the one housing the USB ports). The speakers may be harder to come across, although you can resort to using an external set if you're open to that. Many manufacturers produce speakers encased in a "bar" that mounts to the laptop screen so that they're less cumbersome.

So basically the logic board and the speakers are broken, should I give my laptop back to the retailer? The laptop is still under warranty, Still, the soundbar is much better than the integrated speakers, thanks for the suggestions :)
