Which AMD laptop processor for Minecraft, Skype, internet, homework, etc?

I'd recommend getting at least an A8 (Quad core processor), it should run minecraft more reliably, as it is a CPU heavy program. The A8s also come with a more powerful iGPU, and will also help with gaming. Look for a notebook with 1360x768 resolution, as you will be able to run minecraft at full screen easier than full 1080p.

Yes and No. Intel CPUs are more efficient, and clock for clock, give you more power. Unfortunately, their iGPUs lag pretty far behind even against AMDs A6 series. I believe you would see greater FPS with AMDs A6 or A8 series.
