Hey, I am having issues recording 10bit or even 8bit 1080p on my PERC h0310 controller. Its set as a RAID 5, 4 10k disks, and my sequential read/write are in the 400's MB/s... My question is, I have my OS on the same drive and it seems as though, when we begin recording, the drives don't want to "sequentially write" causing dropped frames and the inability to record even 8bit... Would pulling the OS off the RAID really make that much of a difference? We need this RAID to work for us... And we have confirmed that it is the RAID in some way that is the issue, we recorded to a ram disk for testing and the PC absolutely can handle 10bit 1080p. I know this is not exactly tom'sHARDWARE material but any help would be amazing.

Using separate discs for rendering and project files is a good idea with Premiere Pro and is recommended. I don't have a RAID but do have the OS and Premiere on the OS drive and use separate drives for project (source) files and rendering. The overhead of the OS could effect the recording of video files to the same drive as the OS. Hopefully someone who actually has experience with RAID setups will respond.
