It is already the 3rd time my laptop was unable to start even after days of charging and having tried the press and hold action. During the 1st 2 times,it was dormant for (4-5days),sometimes more tha a week,after whch it can function as normal. What could be th possible reasons for this model to stop running and are there any preventable measures?

It appears that the laptop has hardware problems. It could be many things. Someone who fixes laptops will have to look at it. Sorry. If I was there I would be happy to look at it for you. Have you tried to start it with the battery out and the charger plugged in. Sometimes a bad battery will prevent it from starting. Does the charge light come on when you plug in the charger? Does it do anything when you try to turn it on. fans spinning etc?
